Hey Ma! Hey Dad!

OK before I start typing I am at the library and forgot to bring my camera with me so I PROMISE WITH ALL MY HEART that there will be pictures next week. I know I am super irresponsible when it comes to giving pictures just bare with me here. Yeah actually I got to goto that mall, its the Ontario Mills Mall and its in our zone so we got to go there for Preparation Day, got to roam around and look at everything, was pretty fun. I'll look at the serial number too and let you know with the model name as well next P-Day.

How's it going Dadio? How's work treating you and the kids? If they aren't behaving just wait about over a year and a half and I'll come give em a little talk. Just kidding though! I got the little picture from Savi with her ram prize with the "Pew Pew". Really looks like she had a good time with you and everyone else, she is definitely a better shot than me.

Everything here has been doing pretty well though! Unfortunately me and my companion keep running into every bike mechanic problem known on planet earth. We are going to try and fix everything hopefully today so we can get back on track with our work efficiency. We've had to walk practically everywhere and we can't get to everyone we want to talk to so it kind of stinks but we are trying out best. Just yesterday we were able to teach someone who moved into our apartment complex from the islands of Samoa. Gabriel has a lot of Mormon friends so we started talking with him and hopefully he'll have the desire to learn more! On top of that we have been doing our best to help our investigators progress in the gospel and talk to everyone around us.

My companion Elder de la Torre only has two weeks left and then he goes home from his 2-Transfer mission and that is when the Quorum of the Twelve will I guess decide whether or not he needs to serve a full time mission. He has progressed so much from when I first became his companion but there is still room for improvement because we are all human beings. All together it'll be sad when he has to leave but that's life so we just go on with what our Heavenly Father has planned for us.

On my mission I've grown to LOVE the scriptures so much more than I ever could imagine. I took for granted the power behind from knowing and reading the gospel that I grew up with and I'm sorry for not appreciating it until now while I am out here. Just everytime that I read the Book of Mormon or the Bible just something new sticks out to me, its so weird and spooky but its just super cool. Also the power of prayer is just phenomenal.

Everything has been going pretty well over here though. I look forward to reading the email you'll send sometime today, just today we decided to email earlier today because why not. But anyways I LOVE YOU!! Be safe and tell everyone I said "Hi!"

From,
Elder Brimhall

Thanksgiving Week!

Hey Mom and Dad! This last week went by pretty slow for me (I think because it was week six of transfers so it felt weird). That's funny that all the kiddos want to sleep in, no more its time to get up and get work boys and girls! You guys already set up the Christmas tree? Nice! Sounds like you guys will be having a blast with the cousins up in Pinetop, make sure to send me some pictures! That's pretty funny that you got called to be the Sunday School President, I'm sure on of those kids is gonna need your help and love while you are fulfilling your calling. Teaching is going pretty interestingly, its the holidays so not many people are home or are with family outside the area but some more people are home so its odd but fun! I'll be spending Thanksgiving with a lesser active family called the Whites and they invited us for dinner so I'm happy for that! The Ward is absolutely amazing, the people are so nice to the missionaries and we practically have a dinner every...

Did You Think to Pray? I actually took pictures this week. And for some odd reason this computer is denying me the right to access those photos... Hold back the pitchforks for now, I'll fix the problem sometime soon. But besides from that one. The title comes from a praying mantis I saw while knocking on doors. I went to go ring a doorbell and there is this giant praying mantis guarding the bell. I ended up not wanting to fight the thing and knocked on the door. Something our mission does every transfer (which is a six week period of time kept by missionaries), we have this thing called a zone conference. And all the missionaries here in the desert got together. Which is always a fun experience being out for little over 13 months now seeing people I've grown to meet and love during my time here and catching up with them. But the whole reason we got together was to learn and grow in our service out here. And something that stuck out to me was learning to set goals, but mo...

Hi Momma!

Yeah I am in a new area, and in a new apartment which is a lot nicer than the older one I stayed in, just has a lot more room (I forgot to take pictures which I promise to do that). It's just me and Elder de La Torre in this apartment. From what I can tell you Elder de La Torre is from Las Vegas, Nevada which is super close to our mission and it turns out he is actually a "trial missionary" and he might be staying in this mission or be called to somewhere else. His mom is a member and his father is currently investigating in the church so it's pretty cool. He loves music and played in a mariachi band for a little while and did orchestra so he is pretty awesome, and he speaks fluent spanish which helps when we run into a lot of spanish speaking people here in Ontario.  Yeah it is kind of crazy how fast time has flown by honestly, I feel like I've been here for awhile even though I haven't and even though the end is far away it seems to be coming up kind of qu...
