Weekly Email (September 25 2017)

Hello Mom and Dad! Thats crazy how Bryson has already gotten taller than you, tell him to stop or he is getting a behind whooping when I get back (if he gets past six foot let me know IMMEDIATELY). Thats unfortunate that all those trees are trying to make a come back, good luck getting them out of there! I actually made a goal in my Weekly Planner to take more photos so I am dedicating myself to doing that, (woot woot). Yeah I'm really excited for General Conference this weekend, if you sent the package I unfortunately won't get it until next week (but maybe I might who knows), but I did get that jacket in the mail, the Zone Leaders looked at me like "What the heack is in there?". Just send whatever you feel like will be alright, I'm sure your judgement will be great enough. And I'm pretty sure I can just transfer music from a flashdrive to the shuffle if I'm using a computer, if not I'll just send the iPod shuffle to you in the mail!  I'm

Weekly Email (9/18/2017)

The first Jacket looks really good, the IZOD Men's Resistant Midweight Jacket with Polar Fleece Lining. Yeah I noticed and heard from other people in the area that it can get pretty cold, even though we are in the desert (who knew?). But I have heard from Grandma Kathy every week but not from any of the cousins, Hunter did email in the first week but I think he is plenty busy. I'm glad to see everyone is having fun and doing well, and nice job with Savannah giving that talk during Sacrament meeting, it can be a little nerve racking getting up and talking to everyone. But we eventually can break down those barriers and build up our confidence in physical and spiritual means. I've learned just from walking up and down streets, knocking on doors, and sharing our message with everyone to "Come unto Christ" that it will take some time for me to just walk up to EVERYONE that I feel like I should talk to and just start talking. Its still new to me and to be honest its ha

1 Month Down Only 23 Left Right?

Its already been a month since I've left home, holy cow did time fly by or whaaat. To be honest though its felt like I've been here way longer but the days can go by so fast. And I just noticed while writing this Email that its 9/11. Anyways back on track with the Weekly Email of Elder Brimhall~ Me and Elder Ruiz have been continuing and trying to find people to teach in Victorville, one of our investigators that we had barely started teaching dropped us, but I have a feeling she may come back for more. We don't have any current investigators to teach because the last missionaries just did there own thing and did nothing in their Progress Records. Pretty much left us no paperwork or foundation for us to really start from. We have been practically starting from scratch and reaching out to the Ward Council for names to visit and Less-Actives to try and bring back into activity. Most cases they talk, they aren't home, or don't want to let us in, but thats just how

Ello Momma and Papa~ Alright I finally get to Email after a little longer than usual, my Preparation Day is now on Monday but yesterday was Labor Day so the Library was closed so we couldn't email.  I finally made it out into my mission field! Right now in the Rancho Cucamonga Mission I am serving in Victorville for the beginning of my mission and its pretty awesome. Most of the places here are just dirt roads and desert with some nicer looking neighborhoods that have asphalt roads. Otherwise most of the houses here are a little beat up and to be honest a little sketchy. But the weather feels just like home in Arizona being in the high desert except here theres lots of wind. Man its almost been a month since I've left (which to be honest didn't seem that long ago but it did) and I've come to realize that time here is very precious even though I do have 2 WHOLE YEARS. I've been learning to break down my barriers and reach out to people who need help or I

(We loved getting to talk to Jarom from the airport before he headed to California). Everybody got to talk to him and he sounded so good! Grant asked Jarom to send him a picture of just him, nobody else. When Jarom asked why, Grant said, "Because I don't want to forget you!" We were told by another missionary mom that they had a big dinner at the church together with all 23 new missionaries!)
