Pictures!!

Photos from another Elder with everyone for Christmas!! It was so amazing to talk with the whole family yesterday, I was so happy to see everyone and talk with everyone in the time that we had. Unfortunately I went way overboard with how long it should have been but I'll do better next time!! This week was pretty awesome but I'll email a more lengthy one next week since I'm spending a little time at the library so I can deep clean the apartment and other things since Transfers are coming up and I don't know if I'm being transferred or staying so better do my dooty! Love you all!! Elder Jarom Brimhall (This was a picture that they took after having a white elephant gift exchange. Elder Brimhall got a bucket full of popcorn!)

Hello Mom and Dad!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing really well! What is actually funny is since I was still a little sick I called the mission nurse and she asked me who she just saw, and mentioned Mom dropping by with Sister Kerby's mom dropping off gifts so that caught me off guard. But that is super awesome that you took the time and love to give gifts to everyone! Time can fly by pretty quickly sometimes and other days it just seems to drag on for awhile but all together I've been out for more than 4 months now... Time really has just flew. And YES we do get to talk on Christmas using Skype, I recently got an email from my Mission President with information on rules and regulations. We get about 30-40 minutes at the maximum and I believe we'll be able to text your number with the member's phone or call ahead as we prepare to Skype (the Hannett Family offered their home for Skyping for us). But for everything pertaining to that on Christmas Day even though its supposed to be our Prepara

(Holly) Best. Morning. EVER!!! Cassie and I became instant friends when we found out our kids were serving in the same mission. We practically live down the street from each other and have never met. We recently contacted the mission president of the Rancho Cucamonga Mission and asked if there were any missionaries that weren't getting packages this Christmas. Cassie and I got the opportunity to adopt 10 missionaries!! With the help of family and friends we were able to provide Christmas for all 10 missionaries! Since there were so many gifts we decided to drive the 5 hours to Rancho Cucamonga (with the mission president's permission) and deliver the gifts. Luckily, our missionaries are 1 hour away so no temptations. This was the best part of Christmas! The tears were flowing for us and the office couples. I lost it when the elders showed up at the mission office. They told us about the missionaries that were receiving these gifts and also gave us sweet insight on our own missi

(I found Elder Haven Ruizes blog - Elder Brimhall's trainer when he first got in to the mission field - and read some cool experiences, so I thought I'd add them here.)

Short on Time!

Hi Mom and Dad, don't have much time to email because of a hike me and some other missionaries attended in Wrightwood California (which is part of our mission). Took a lot longer than expected but it was a super cool view at the top so I'll send some pictures next week when I know I have more time. Otherwise everything here in the mission field is doing really well actually. Unfortunately this week we didn't get any new Investigators but we have a lot of return appointments with potentials next week and with some of our investigators so that should go well as long as nothing falls through. Got to go on exchanges with my zone leader Elder Richins in his area where we actually picked up a GOLDEN investigator Brother Webb who has a lot of faith and wants to hear more about what we share! Also got sick with a headache and fever at the end of Saturday and was unable to go out an work on Sunday which just felt terrible. Especially when you know you want to go out and work but

Pictures

(I was added to a Rancho Cucamonga Missionary Mom's Facebook page...and, of course, had to search through it for any pictures back to the end of August when Elder Brimhall arrived in California. Here's what I found!)  Elder Noorlander's mom said, " I am so glad you are on here. My son got to go on exchanges with your son and he mentioned that he was so impressed by your son’s optimism. He added a great picture of the two of them."  Michael McLean fireside

Hello Mom and Dad!

Yes I got the Christmas package with the little tree, ornaments, goodies, and everything else in there. Thank you so much for those festive gifts it'll make the apartment look much more festive! Me and Elder Olson have been doing the #LightTheWorld initiative in member dinners and also with contacting people wherever we go and its been pretty positive mostly! In our apartment its just me and Elder Olson but there are some missionary apartments or homes where more than one set of elders stay together. Awesome to hear how everyone is doing back home and holy cow that package sounds like a crazy one, this Christmas season I think in general is gonna be a crazy one regardless.  Status Update for the Week: Me and Elder Olson have been using the #LightTheWorld initiative wherever we go while trying to invite people to learn more about Jesus Christ and His church, so its been busy here. We were able to find a new investigator, Chip Mosely, who we helped plant some bushes and trees in
