Short on Time!

Hi Mom and Dad, don't have much time to email because of a hike me and some other missionaries attended in Wrightwood California (which is part of our mission). Took a lot longer than expected but it was a super cool view at the top so I'll send some pictures next week when I know I have more time.

Otherwise everything here in the mission field is doing really well actually. Unfortunately this week we didn't get any new Investigators but we have a lot of return appointments with potentials next week and with some of our investigators so that should go well as long as nothing falls through. Got to go on exchanges with my zone leader Elder Richins in his area where we actually picked up a GOLDEN investigator Brother Webb who has a lot of faith and wants to hear more about what we share! Also got sick with a headache and fever at the end of Saturday and was unable to go out an work on Sunday which just felt terrible. Especially when you know you want to go out and work but you CANT it just stinks.

Sounds like the family is having a blast this holiday season and awesome job on Savi's part for reaching out to someone and inviting them to church, thats SUPER COOL. Glad to also hear that everyone in the family is doing really well and yeah just in two weeks it will be Christmas, funny how fast time flies.

I'm going to have to end the email short today but I'll make sure to do better next week when I have more time and share the experiences that have happened!

From,
Elder Brimhall

I heard about that from another email and all those posts on Facebook about it. Tell her I send her my best wishes and prayers for them. Be safe on the way there! That was fun to hear about Grant though, he'll become a superstar the more he works at it, and that basketball court will help out, tell him when I get back I'll ball with him!  Concerning that jacket, just something more casual, the only one I have is that big one from the beginning so its can get warm. Just something for the preparation days or just lounging around at night. Probably should have but more information on that request, my bad! You can have Bryson pick something out, I'll make sure to email him today and maybe he'll do the same. We had some really cool things happen this week though. We started teaching this older couple, Ralph and Terry, and they are such great people. Ralph is currently in a wheelchair because he lost a foot, and I swear the jokes he cracks are phenomenal. This is my f...

Did You Think to Pray? I actually took pictures this week. And for some odd reason this computer is denying me the right to access those photos... Hold back the pitchforks for now, I'll fix the problem sometime soon. But besides from that one. The title comes from a praying mantis I saw while knocking on doors. I went to go ring a doorbell and there is this giant praying mantis guarding the bell. I ended up not wanting to fight the thing and knocked on the door. Something our mission does every transfer (which is a six week period of time kept by missionaries), we have this thing called a zone conference. And all the missionaries here in the desert got together. Which is always a fun experience being out for little over 13 months now seeing people I've grown to meet and love during my time here and catching up with them. But the whole reason we got together was to learn and grow in our service out here. And something that stuck out to me was learning to set goals, but mo...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA!! 🎂🎉. That's pretty funny that that Dad and the kiddos got you a cake, and that sounds like a ton of fun that you and the family are going out to do whatever you want. I think for New Years we'll just go to sleep, maybe, we still have to be awake at 6:30 in the morning. I didnt know you and the family was going out to Mexico, it sounded like a ton of fun. Its amazing how serving can give us a new perspective of love and thankfulness.  I was super grateful to talk to you and everyone in the family. It was funny seeing how Grant, Savannah, and Bryson have changed over time. It was honestly really weird talking to all of them. By the time I come home they'll be even more grown up. After the Christmas call we had some goodie bags made and gave them with #LightTheWorld cards to all our neighbors in our apartment complex and some other people.  We were walking down a street trying by some people that used to meet with missionaries and looki...
