Elder Jarom Broc Brimhall

Thanksgiving was really awesome, we had dinner with a family where they have 5 boys and we got to spend our one dinner with them for that night. Got to eat deviled eggs, ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, crackers and cheese with ham, chili, some barbecue hotdogs, and lots of other food which was amazing! Everything else over here is going very well though! Although Elder Olson got sick for a day and we had to drive to an Urgent Care outside our zone so that was fun. Elder Olson is pretty much the same height as me and everything, why do you ask? I don't think its cold enough to get any extra layers of clothes or anything but thanks! That's awesome that everyone of the kids is doing well and doing the things they love! Funny how as soon as I leave you start having missionaries over for dinner, maybe we'll have to invite some more when I get back from my mission or something. Hey Mom and Dad! This last week went by pretty slow for me (I think because it was week six of transfers so it felt weird). That's funny that all the kiddos want to sleep in, no more its time to get up and get work boys and girls! You guys already set up the Christmas tree? Nice! Sounds like you guys will be having a blast with the cousins up in Pinetop, make sure to send me some pictures! That's pretty funny that you got called to be the Sunday School President, I'm sure on of those kids is gonna need your help and love while you are fulfilling your calling. Teaching is going pretty interestingly, its the holidays so not many people are home or are with family outside the area but some more people are home so its odd but fun! I'll be spending Thanksgiving with a lesser active family called the Whites and they invited us for dinner so I'm happy for that! Sounds like you guys are having a ton of fun! Bet Thanksgiving will be a blast and I hope everything goes well for you all in the coming week. Some people I've been working with are Arleen who is in her 40s and works in a hospital and has been accepting the gospel REALLY well. Another is Isaiah who is only 12 years old and he wanted to learn more about God. Then there's DJ who is 17 and he's been looking for a stronger relationship with God. Those are the most consistent investigators then there's other people who I love so dearly but their schedules are just out of whack. Me and Elder Olson have been having member dinners like EVERY NIGHT and it  really helps because we get to know the ward more and learn to love and help them more. Meal wise though we get a ton of different varieties of foods and its usually delicious and when we make dinner for ourselves (which isn't very often) I make couscous and some bean/cheese tortillas on the griddle pan we have. Sorry we didn't have Preparation Day on Monday like usual, because today we are going to the Redlands Temple. They moved our P-Day just for this week. Looks like you guys have been pretty busy and having fun at sooo many different places! We are still in a car for now, so I still get to wear my jacket when it does get cold but I've been doing very well regardless when it does get a little chilly. We were able to teach a couple lessons and actually get two investigators in this past week alone. Shows how much hard work and dedication can bring up great results when you are trying to put your best foot forward. Sounds like fun though that you guys are gonna have the missionaries over for dinner! How's it going? Long time no see, quite literally, but how's it been back in Arizona? I got your package with the fortune cookies, chopsticks, socks, chocolates, that super awesome looking tie, and other letters and goodies. Thank you so much for those! I have been slacking when it came to writing paper letters so I'll try and get back into the groove of things. Everything in the mission field has been an adventure, as usual, and somehow I've been in the mission field for already 2 months, like where the heack did time go like COME BACK. Seriously though the work here has been hard but I never expected it to be easy and so far as much as I work there are blessings around every corner, even if its not on that day. Putting the best foot forward and continuing forward in faith is action in itself and just keeping forward helps out a lot. How's it going family?! That's awesome that Bryson got his Driver's Permit and it will be scary at frist but he'll get the hang of it. Just takes practice and little by little he'll be cruising "safely" down the streets. Looks like you guys had fun that Fall Break and having cousins over! Bummer that Grant lost by a couple of points but there's always something we can learn from defeat, even in the mission field here.
