Hello Mom and Dad!

How's it going family?! That's awesome that Bryson got his Driver's Permit and it will be scary at frist but he'll get the hang of it. Just takes practice and little by little he'll be cruising "safely" down the streets. Looks like you guys had fun that Fall Break and having cousins over! Bummer that Grant lost by a couple of points but there's always something we can learn from defeat, even in the mission field here. I would like to thank you guys for sending me that shirt, it looks a tad too big but I haven't tried it on YET, but it looks SOOO GOOD. Also thank you for sending me that Acne stuff it will help cleaning up my face. Good luck with those conferences coming up dadio! Hopefully you got that Email from one of the members, Brother Zavala, took us out to dinner at FarmerBoys and it was super good (sent to Mom's email I believe).

Turns out I was scheduled to give a talk this Sunday in the ward I am serving in so that'll be fun. I was thinking of writing a talk about Love and Forgiveness but I'm still kind of dwelling on it. I know during this recent General Conference we had a couple talks that included Love and Forgiveness with also some other quotes that I could possibly use. I'll email you guys some of the finished talk maybe next week if everything goes according to plan but otherwise I think it'll go pretty well, I want to leave a lasting impression on those that need to hear this message.

Little update in the mission field, I've been with my companion Elder Olson and we both love some of the same games and movies. Like we just have conversations about the most whack things and its so much fun while trying to talk to people about Jesus Christ and the Gospel. Except practically everyone we try to talk with turns us down and when we say "How's your day going?" they reply with "No thanks." and shut the door on us. Such a weird way of saying how your day is going right? People are weird. But to be honest when we get to talk with people we have conversations about almost anything with Members and Nonmembers here in Victorville. But something I realized that helps so much is when we have the chance to Pray and Read the Book of Mormon everyday it REALLY HELPS SO MUCH. There are blessings from our Heavenly Father and it can bring peace and other things we ask for into our lives. The power behind these things is so powerful and simple, almost too simple but its big acts of faith.

Work here in the mission field has been making more and more sense as I think deeper and deeper. The only unfortunate thing is I haven't had many opportunities to teach and its kind of hindering my ability to teach clearly and simply to everyone I get the chance to. And when I knock on doors sometimes I'm still awkward but I'm still trying to improve. But I know when I put my best forward the Lord can do the rest and I can still learn and improve otherwise me and Elder Olson have mostly been trying to find Investigators and visit/teach people that are less active to help them feel welcome and know the importance of coming to church.

I pray and hope everything goes well for everyone!!

From.

Yeah Elder Olson will be speaking as well except he won't tell me what its about soooo oh whale.

On Halloween we have to be back in our apartment by 6:00pm so that's pretty unfortunate but otherwise just regular work in the mission field until that time then we can do whatever. Thank goodness me and Elder Olson have music otherwise we might go insane in that amount of time we have. We'll come up with something fun. The Ward I'm in does this Chili Cookoff and TrunkOrTreat actually this Friday which we'll be inviting people to and having dinner at.

I'll have to see if I can get Brother Zavala when I meet with him again to send it to me or something.

Elder Olson has some nice soundtracks from movies and other stuff so yeah. Unfortunately I again did not take any pictures, I am a terrible human being. But I'll make sure to take some at the Ward Halloween Party with Elder Olson. Thats funny me and Elder Olson shopped at a Winco Food today as well with the Zone Leaders. Winco is the goto for missionaries.

Hi Momma!

Yeah I am in a new area, and in a new apartment which is a lot nicer than the older one I stayed in, just has a lot more room (I forgot to take pictures which I promise to do that). It's just me and Elder de La Torre in this apartment. From what I can tell you Elder de La Torre is from Las Vegas, Nevada which is super close to our mission and it turns out he is actually a "trial missionary" and he might be staying in this mission or be called to somewhere else. His mom is a member and his father is currently investigating in the church so it's pretty cool. He loves music and played in a mariachi band for a little while and did orchestra so he is pretty awesome, and he speaks fluent spanish which helps when we run into a lot of spanish speaking people here in Ontario.  Yeah it is kind of crazy how fast time has flown by honestly, I feel like I've been here for awhile even though I haven't and even though the end is far away it seems to be coming up kind of qu...

A New Perspective Hence the title, I got new glasses since my old perscriptions were causing a bit of strain, but we are feeling better now and kicking into overdrive! Don't worry there will be a photo at the very end with the new glasses, don't get too excited yet you still have to drag through this email. But lets move on shall we. This past week... I'll be completely honest it has been a struggle here. Not going to lie, my hardest area yet since being in the mission field. My companion and I go straight to the mission office to make sure everything in the mission moves forward and everyone's jobs are easier... Then we go into our teaching area and try and find people. In my entire time here, its been 4 months now we have found only a couple people that would let us teach them. And they all dont want to meet anymore. Its been hard, but thats where faith comes in I guess. It tests you, your work ethic, your testimony, and just the faith to find one person who ...

Hello Mom and Dad!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing really well! What is actually funny is since I was still a little sick I called the mission nurse and she asked me who she just saw, and mentioned Mom dropping by with Sister Kerby's mom dropping off gifts so that caught me off guard. But that is super awesome that you took the time and love to give gifts to everyone! Time can fly by pretty quickly sometimes and other days it just seems to drag on for awhile but all together I've been out for more than 4 months now... Time really has just flew. And YES we do get to talk on Christmas using Skype, I recently got an email from my Mission President with information on rules and regulations. We get about 30-40 minutes at the maximum and I believe we'll be able to text your number with the member's phone or call ahead as we prepare to Skype (the Hannett Family offered their home for Skyping for us). But for everything pertaining to that on Christmas Day even though its supposed to be our Prepara...
