11/13/17 Hello Family!

Sounds like you guys are having a ton of fun! Bet Thanksgiving will be a blast and I hope everything goes well for you all in the coming week. Some people I've been working with are Arleen who is in her 40s and works in a hospital and has been accepting the gospel REALLY well. Another is Isaiah who is only 12 years old and he wanted to learn more about God. Then there's DJ who is 17 and he's been looking for a stronger relationship with God. Those are the most consistent investigators then there's other people who I love so dearly but their schedules are just out of whack. Me and Elder Olson have been having member dinners like EVERY NIGHT and it  really helps because we get to know the ward more and learn to love and help them more. Meal wise though we get a ton of different varieties of foods and its usually delicious and when we make dinner for ourselves (which isn't very often) I make couscous and some bean/cheese tortillas on the griddle pan we have. I've been doing very well with budgeting myself and still having food and money for emergencies I suppose (at least more than others apparently so yay?)

Everything has been going well here in the mission field. Work has been picking up a lot recently with every day that we go out in faith. Even though we get rejected, denied, or just shooed away there are others still out there waiting for someone to reach out to them. It is hard though out here because most people say they just goto church and they are fine and dandy, but its not just about going to church. It's living the gospel every day and being that example of Christ unto others and people do notice that difference. But me and Elder Olson have been blessed with so many potential people and less actives to visit and teach that almost we can't get to them all in a week AND we are still trying to find others to talk to so work here is going and going.

But I pray for you all always and I hope everything goes well for yeah!! If you email me fast enough I can probably reply soon but time is at the essence and emails gotta gooooooo.

Thanksgiving Week!

Hey Mom and Dad! This last week went by pretty slow for me (I think because it was week six of transfers so it felt weird). That's funny that all the kiddos want to sleep in, no more its time to get up and get work boys and girls! You guys already set up the Christmas tree? Nice! That's pretty funny that you got called to be the Sunday School President, I'm sure on of those kids is gonna need your help and love while you are fulfilling your calling. Teaching is going pretty interestingly, its the holidays so not many people are home or are with family outside the area but some more people are home so its odd but fun! I'll be spending Thanksgiving with a lesser active family called the Whites and they invited us for dinner so I'm happy for that! Did You Think to Pray? I actually took pictures this week. And for some odd reason this computer is denying me the right to access those photos... Hold back the pitchforks for now, I'll fix the problem sometime soon. But besides from that one. The title comes from a praying mantis I saw while knocking on doors. I went to go ring a doorbell and there is this giant praying mantis guarding the bell. I ended up not wanting to fight the thing and knocked on the door. Something our mission does every transfer (which is a six week period of time kept by missionaries), we have this thing called a zone conference. And all the missionaries here in the desert got together. Which is always a fun experience being out for little over 13 months now seeing people I've grown to meet and love during my time here and catching up with them. Hi Momma!

Yeah I am in a new area, and in a new apartment which is a lot nicer than the older one I stayed in, just has a lot more room (I forgot to take pictures which I promise to do that). It's just me and Elder de La Torre in this apartment. From what I can tell you Elder de La Torre is from Las Vegas, Nevada which is super close to our mission and it turns out he is actually a "trial missionary" and he might be staying in this mission or be called to somewhere else. His mom is a member and his father is currently investigating in the church so it's pretty cool. He loves music and played in a mariachi band for a little while and did orchestra so he is pretty awesome, and he speaks fluent spanish which helps when we run into a lot of spanish speaking people here in Ontario.  Yeah it is kind of crazy how fast time has flown by honestly, I feel like I've been here for awhile even though I haven't and even though the end is far away it seems to be coming up kind of qu...
