Hello Mom and Dad!

Yes I got the Christmas package with the little tree, ornaments, goodies, and everything else in there. Thank you so much for those festive gifts it'll make the apartment look much more festive! Me and Elder Olson have been doing the #LightTheWorld initiative in member dinners and also with contacting people wherever we go and its been pretty positive mostly! In our apartment its just me and Elder Olson but there are some missionary apartments or homes where more than one set of elders stay together. Awesome to hear how everyone is doing back home and holy cow that package sounds like a crazy one, this Christmas season I think in general is gonna be a crazy one regardless.
Status Update for the Week:
Me and Elder Olson have been using the #LightTheWorld initiative wherever we go while trying to invite people to learn more about Jesus Christ and His church, so its been busy here. We were able to find a new investigator, Chip Mosely, who we helped plant some bushes and trees in his backyard and had lunch with him while discussing the Plan of Salvation because we learned his wife passed away about a year ago. On top of that while contacting around a mall we found a really awesome referral for Adelanto missionaries who wanted to have a stronger relationship with God. And the next day while trying to get into contact with another potential we met Robert who also lives in Adelanto but he has been praying and looking for a church for him and his daughter so miracles have been around every corner, even if its for other missionaries to teach. But on top of that our ward had a Christmas Party this last Saturday where we invited our investigators and everyone we knew and we had lesser active members show up where we had the opportunity to help them connect with others. District Leader responsibilities have been pretty interesting none the less, been trying to make sure everyone is alright and plan meetings with other missionaries so that's a blast. And not too long ago we had the opportunity to listen to the Christmas Devotional just yesterday and there were some really amazing talks!
But besides from everything, things have been fine and dandy here even though its been a pretty hard week. But that's faith for you, just keep trying and trying and hoping that something will turn out and the Lord has blessed our efforts.
You guys have any fun plans for Christmas this month?
From,
Elder Brimhall

The reindeer hat was already at the apartment so I decided to take a picture with it. Me and Elder Olson are gonna be taking Christmas pictures for letters to send back home and what not so just hopefully I can get those done so I can send those soonish. Elder Olson loved those peppernuts and so did my Zone Leaders Elder Richins and Elder Akers

Me and Elder Olson have a dinner appointment with the Land family tonight, sometimes we get dinners sometimes we don't but the Ward has been doing a really good job about these sorts of things. Today me and Elder Olson with the Zone Leaders are hanging out this Preparation Day but we'll find something fun to do.

Elder Richins is from Logan Utah and Elder Akers I believe is from Park City Utah and they are pretty awesome guys. I get to go on exchanges with one of them this upcoming Thursday since Zone Leaders go with District Leaders for leadership training and just learning from one another.

I don't know the details yet (about our Christmas Skype), but I'll make sure to let you know when I do find out. And yeah Transfers will be on New Years so that'll be pretty fun most likely, of course dependent if President Taylor keeps me here or moves me somewhere else because by the end of this transfer I'll have been here for 18 weeks.

Hi Momma!

Yeah I am in a new area, and in a new apartment which is a lot nicer than the older one I stayed in, just has a lot more room (I forgot to take pictures which I promise to do that). It's just me and Elder de La Torre in this apartment. From what I can tell you Elder de La Torre is from Las Vegas, Nevada which is super close to our mission and it turns out he is actually a "trial missionary" and he might be staying in this mission or be called to somewhere else. His mom is a member and his father is currently investigating in the church so it's pretty cool. He loves music and played in a mariachi band for a little while and did orchestra so he is pretty awesome, and he speaks fluent spanish which helps when we run into a lot of spanish speaking people here in Ontario.  Yeah it is kind of crazy how fast time has flown by honestly, I feel like I've been here for awhile even though I haven't and even though the end is far away it seems to be coming up kind of qu...

A New Perspective Hence the title, I got new glasses since my old perscriptions were causing a bit of strain, but we are feeling better now and kicking into overdrive! Don't worry there will be a photo at the very end with the new glasses, don't get too excited yet you still have to drag through this email. But lets move on shall we. This past week... I'll be completely honest it has been a struggle here. Not going to lie, my hardest area yet since being in the mission field. My companion and I go straight to the mission office to make sure everything in the mission moves forward and everyone's jobs are easier... Then we go into our teaching area and try and find people. In my entire time here, its been 4 months now we have found only a couple people that would let us teach them. And they all dont want to meet anymore. Its been hard, but thats where faith comes in I guess. It tests you, your work ethic, your testimony, and just the faith to find one person who ...

Hello Mom and Dad!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing really well! What is actually funny is since I was still a little sick I called the mission nurse and she asked me who she just saw, and mentioned Mom dropping by with Sister Kerby's mom dropping off gifts so that caught me off guard. But that is super awesome that you took the time and love to give gifts to everyone! Time can fly by pretty quickly sometimes and other days it just seems to drag on for awhile but all together I've been out for more than 4 months now... Time really has just flew. And YES we do get to talk on Christmas using Skype, I recently got an email from my Mission President with information on rules and regulations. We get about 30-40 minutes at the maximum and I believe we'll be able to text your number with the member's phone or call ahead as we prepare to Skype (the Hannett Family offered their home for Skyping for us). But for everything pertaining to that on Christmas Day even though its supposed to be our Prepara...
