I remember you telling me about what happened about great grandma Stapley, but now I know that she has passed away it brings some more peace and comfort. Seeing great grandpa Stapley pass away was hard and I know they're both together now. As for Hesperia, I've only been here for a week and I'm loving it a lot here. Our area is MUCH bigger than all the areas I've been in and its because its developed neighborhoods but also houses spread out over the desert. It should give me more opportunities for pictures so I'll jump on it. This area is reminding me a TON about my first area and I think I'm going to love it more. As for Elder McLaughlin, we are doing really well. We are both working hard and having laughs as we go. He's from Texas and he went to BYU Idaho before he left and its been fun so far! As for the special box, I couldn't find a companionship going down so I'm just going to ship a couple things home as presents and maybe donate some other th...

Thats super cool to hear Bryson and Savannah got to hear from Elder Bednar. Sounds like Savi has been having fun with just about everything. Bryson emailed me and it sounds like things have been tough for him or that he's being tough on himself. If there's anything I can do to help on my end let me know, but maybe when the Christmas call comes could I get a couple minutes alone with him? I know thats asking a lot but it might be good for him and for me. I'll ask him about that idea or you can to him.  I just recently saw your email about what Elders want as gifts for Christmas. And the only thing I can think of is food, maybe clothes or something (that'll be hard because sizes), and maybe things they can play with. I dont know we Elders out here are very easily entertained by just about everything.  Some information about transfers that just happened. I left Apple Valley and am getting moved to Hesperia which is literally not too far away. I'm with Elder McLaugh...

Lets start off with answering those questions. For Thanksgiving we spent the entire day walking trying to talk to anyone outside, we walked to the bottom of our ward to the top, but we had Thanksgiving dinner with our ward mission leader. It was a ton of fun and we got to spend 3 hours over there! I was on exchanges in that other Elder's area and she took us out, she was super sweet. Yeah I got all the packages, there is so much stuff I dont know how I'm gonna take everything with me wherever I go. I'm grateful for it though, please try not to send anything else till Christmas 😅. You two are coming again? That'll be funny. From my interview with President Taylor it sounds like I'll be leaving this area, so we'll see what happens I guess.  In terms of the Axio you could send some more of whatever flavor for Christmas. In terms of you wanting to know what I want for Christmas. I wanna say you guys can come up with whatever you think best. I really dont NEED any...

Lets start with answering those questions. So the topic about member dinners has been brought up, and honestly the way people are looking at it is ridiculous. Ideal member missionary dinners involves having a non member friend over, member who hasnt attended in awhile, or one of the people they are teaching. And the "prime time" for missionaries to work is from 4PM to 7PM, so people pretty much are saying "Welp sorry missionaries, we cant do those requirements so we arent going to feed you". They are trying to bring back the PURPOSE of member dinners by force. Its been starting to get placed in action, but so far we are still getting fed every now and then.  We havent gotten any smoke from the fires over along the coast, but literally two days ago this donut shop went up in flames and it was pretty nuts. There's been a ton of fires and things happening in California recently. Along with your questions about Christmas, I honestly have no clue. I dont want to ca...

There have been a ton of emails written by you and Dad, and I'm still trying to go back and think about the things you shared with me. Whether it was talking about food, some quotes, pictures, whatever it may be, it helped a lot. I'm grateful President Taylor gave you permission to write everyday and the fact I could read them every night as well. I expressed this to Dad in my email to him, but I really dont feel worthy or right to be receiving so many gifts or things from you and even from others. There's so much love and care that I dont feel like I appreciate it enough and that I dont deserve it. I dont want to tell you to stop, but I am not sure how I feel honestly. I've been given so much love and support I dont feel like I can show enough gratitude for it all. To say the least, I have come to the conclusion that broken things are a part of God's perfect plan. To assemble a camera, you need little bits and pieces and other things but together to have that c...

I'll try and do better with writing these emails. But there is almost no desire to write to anyone anymore unfortunately. I have all these people reaching out and emailing me but I don't even feel like responding. Little warning right now, this email is more than likely going to be short. I had a longer email written of just more pure venting and I couldn't send it so I deleted it. I got a call from President Taylor about you and Dad reaching out, and I am very grateful for that. I'm trying, but holy crap I don't know how much I can handle. We literally ended up every single day walking for about 4 to 5 hours just trying to talk to people because we have no appointments and no members trying to help us. I am quite literally waiting for a miracle to fall out of the sky. But I did realize something. Next Preparation Day is going to be on Wednesday because of our temple trip next week so thats a heads up. I loved getting the emails from you and Dad these past coupl...

Dear Elder Brimhall, Hey bud! Hope you're doing a bit better than last week. Last weeks email was hard to read...but I'm also grateful that you're sharing what you're feeling. I hope you can continue to be that open and honest with us. Please don't stop writing. I don't think I could handle that. We got to talk to President Taylor again on Friday night. He said that he had just talked to you and you seemed to be doing a bit better. He said that counseling seemed to be helping some too. Do you feel like your counselor is a good fit with you? Bryson is going to counseling weekly too and I've noticed he seems to be doing quite a bit better. We went to dinner at Karli's house tonight. Garrett turned 12 last week and received the Aaronic priesthood today. Crazy to believe that Grant is next for that. We had 3 different kinds of soups, homemade rolls, and then Karli had made a double chocolate layer cake with crumbled up Heath candy bar on top. Pre...
