Yup transfers happened today and Elder McLaughlin is leaving to go finish training another Elder who just came out 6 weeks ago. He'll do great out there, I'm getting Elder Johnson (he came out into the mission when I was in my 4th transfer in Ontario) and he's from North Carolina! I've served around him quite a bit so this'll be fun! I think PDay will still be the same. We can email from our phones and not everything is closed so it'll be fine, what holiday is coming up? I don't know anything so far as of right now concerning my mission reassignment. It'll probably be talked about later in the future, still up in the air but I believe President Taylor has been talking with the neighboring missions concerning what'll happen.

Mary did pass her baptismal interview though this past Wednesday! She's super excited for her baptism coming up really soon. We started making her baptismal program for her and inviting everyone we know to come and attend. Concerning the rain, its sprinkled a little bit over here but it actually starting raining today and it might rain on some other days during the week. I'll make sure to get pictures for you! Especially with Mary's baptism as well, I'll definitely make sure to get some there.

Fun to hear about everything that's going on over there. Savannah is always having crazy amounts of dance. Make sure to get plenty of sleep, if you need help prayer can always help. That's fun to hear about Grant's interview, it'll be fun for him to hang out more with the deacons and those activities. Imma email Bryson and hopefully he'll email me back. I got a couple of videos maybe he'll laugh at, brighten up his day.

We actually had a ton of cool miracles happen this week. Mary passed her baptismal interview and we'll be teaching her tomorrow and another day during the week to make sure she is all prepared for her baptism. Along with that, we invited Darla, we've taught a couple times to a baptism for some other Elders and she enjoyed it a ton. She later texted us asking what the steps of baptism were and she wanted to commit to be baptized! We talked with her again the next day, she took us out for tacos, and we set a baptismal date of February 9th for her. Then to top it off we had 3 people we've been teaching come to church this week! Mary came, and Darla (it was her first time, and a recent convert namer Daniel brought his nephew named Myles who we've been teaching every now and then. Darla was nervous but some members came up and invited her to Relief Society and she got to make some new friends. I've learned it makes a HUGE impact when you get to know someone, I've been trying to do that and I feel almost closer to the ward than before.

There was a random act of service I remembered that happened. I got a second jacket (it was a nice one) for free from an Elder going home. So I had 2 jackets and when we were getting ready to leave after dinner, this guy started to walk up to us and asked if we could give him some money for a bus to drive back to Bakersfield, we said No but then he asked if we could give him something that would keep him warm. And I remembered I had that extra jacket so we walked to our apartment, grabbed it, and let him take it. He was super thankful and I hope he finds his way back home. It was a fun little moment to serve someone, even if I won't see him again.

Things are going really well. I'll keep you updated with everything that happens out here. And I'll make sure to take pictures. LOVE YA MOMMA!! Have fun and tell the kiddos I love em! Get plenty of sleep!!

Hi Momma!

Yeah I am in a new area, and in a new apartment which is a lot nicer than the older one I stayed in, just has a lot more room (I forgot to take pictures which I promise to do that). It's just me and Elder de La Torre in this apartment. From what I can tell you Elder de La Torre is from Las Vegas, Nevada which is super close to our mission and it turns out he is actually a "trial missionary" and he might be staying in this mission or be called to somewhere else. His mom is a member and his father is currently investigating in the church so it's pretty cool. He loves music and played in a mariachi band for a little while and did orchestra so he is pretty awesome, and he speaks fluent spanish which helps when we run into a lot of spanish speaking people here in Ontario.  Yeah it is kind of crazy how fast time has flown by honestly, I feel like I've been here for awhile even though I haven't and even though the end is far away it seems to be coming up kind of qu...

A New Perspective Hence the title, I got new glasses since my old perscriptions were causing a bit of strain, but we are feeling better now and kicking into overdrive! Don't worry there will be a photo at the very end with the new glasses, don't get too excited yet you still have to drag through this email. But lets move on shall we. This past week... I'll be completely honest it has been a struggle here. Not going to lie, my hardest area yet since being in the mission field. My companion and I go straight to the mission office to make sure everything in the mission moves forward and everyone's jobs are easier... Then we go into our teaching area and try and find people. In my entire time here, its been 4 months now we have found only a couple people that would let us teach them. And they all dont want to meet anymore. Its been hard, but thats where faith comes in I guess. It tests you, your work ethic, your testimony, and just the faith to find one person who ...

I honestly cannot recall who Connor Peterson is right now. My brain has a REALLY hard time remembering people's names with their faces, you already know that though so I'll let you sigh in defeat over there. Every time they sing "God Be With You Til We Meet Again" is such a good one, gets me every time as well, its a good one in general though, personally one of my favorites. I think one of my favorite hymms of all time though would have to be "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing". Such a good one. I can imagine its pretty hard to not wanna hug me. I'm a hug-able guy I guess. If I was in your shoes I would probably have floored the gas pedal as well, or probably go around the area in a 30 mile radius so I don't get the temptation, but hey you used your agency wisely so good job Mom! I have noticed that about being the decider, but I do believe we have to have a fine line of deciding but also being willing to submit to what others decide as well. We...
