Alright question time!
1. Any fun things for P-Day? Just the same ol' same ol'. We got haircuts today and oh my goodness the picture will describe how terribly that went. I asked for the lady cutting my hair to leave an inch off the top and in the process that is what happened and with my glasses off all I heard from her was "Oh no...". So not super fun, hoping I don't get made fun of too much but it's pretty bad... Rest in peace my dignity and pride.2. Yup I got the year mark package and I was laughing really hard when I saw that shirt. I also appreciated a ton of the puns on there. Extremely well done, I was very impressed.3. I think I started attending in my Junior year but I didn't keep consistently going until my Senior year. I think I popped in every now and then but near the Senior year is when I actually really started going.4. How did you hear about that? Our ward mates baptized a Chinese couple named Nicolas and Feel! I remember always helping them in English class and trying to talk to them when they came to church and it was amazing seeing their progression! Elder Bryner and I had the opportunity to participate in the Confirmation on Sunday.5. Yes my release date is August 12th, don't get too excited. Still got an entire year to get rolling after the first one!Sounds like a ton of people are leaving for their missions and going on them. Kind of crazy how fast time can fly and how soon people leave and come home. I bet its just always people leaving and coming back that are talking up there now.I personally right now cannot remember who that is. There is something called the mission veil and it makes you forget everything you knew from back home. Its pretty real and makes it super unfortunate for me when people ask where specifically I am from and really certain details. Its ok though, I'm able to manage enough questions.Recently Anthony has been "busy" a lot so we are going to give him a little break so we can continue meeting with him. We were doing pretty well with practically 4 appointments held in a row and then just one after another they start falling through and its been over a week now. So we'll go back next week and see what happens.Besides from that though Chase has been doing super well. The young men are doing almost everything in their power to include Chase without even asking us. Its pretty crazy but its amazing how loving they are to reach out to those around him. We are hoping to meet with Chase again tomorrow and we'll be bringing a young man along! We are hoping to get him on a baptismal date either tomorrow or this Friday so we'll see how that goes!We recently picked up someone new though! His name is Carlos, and he has a 18 year old son in the navy and a 16 year old daughter that goes to school. He's a mechanic and loves to learn new information, and something that I've never been asked for is not why there are so many religions. But why isn't everyone unified when it comes to religion? Since most religions teach about good morals and beliefs in God but most people fight or quarrel over these things. And we got to answer practically most of his questions and tell him the church Jesus Christ's set up is back on the earth and there is proof of that. It opened up super well and we invited him to read and pray from the Book of Mormon and we'll be seeing him this Thursday!Otherwise we had plenty of work in the office and in the area that got done and it'll get a little busier with zone conferences happening this week but we'll make it happen! Otherwise Momma I always LOVE HEARING BACK FROM YA!! Keep cool out there, and keep having fun with the kiddos! LOVE YOU!!- Elder Brimhall
Did You Think to Pray? I actually took pictures this week. And for some odd reason this computer is denying me the right to access those photos... Hold back the pitchforks for now, I'll fix the problem sometime soon. But besides from that one. The title comes from a praying mantis I saw while knocking on doors. I went to go ring a doorbell and there is this giant praying mantis guarding the bell. I ended up not wanting to fight the thing and knocked on the door. Something our mission does every transfer (which is a six week period of time kept by missionaries), we have this thing called a zone conference. And all the missionaries here in the desert got together. Which is always a fun experience being out for little over 13 months now seeing people I've grown to meet and love during my time here and catching up with them. But the whole reason we got together was to learn and grow in our service out here. And something that stuck out to me was learning to set goals, but mo...
