Alright lets get those questions answered at the very beginning I suppose:
Gabriel is originally from the islands of Samoa and moved here to the USA in October of last year. He is doing pretty well, we weren't able to meet with him last week but we plan on dropping by tonight to see how he is doing.
My bike was having issues with the brake pads and the mechanism was always rubbing against my bike wheel so it was way harder than it should be to bike. But we got to a bike repair store and got that situation figured out so I'm doing MUCH better. We both had different bike problems and it was really obnoxious. We had to walk around for 2 days just trying to see people and it was MUCH slower than on a bike, believe me I know now.
Training is going really well, Elder de la Torre is improving every single day and just continues to improve and see more in his missionary work. His trial mission actually ends next Monday but he actually got his mission call just last Friday and we got to drive (with the Zone Leaders) up to our mission home with President Taylor and see where he is going. He actually is going to be staying in the mission! But he has to go home for a little bit to get endowed and go through the temple and then through the MTC then BACK into the mission field of Rancho Cucamonga California. So its quite the adventure for him.
Man that dream sounds crazy, I don't remember like any of my dreams. I just fall asleep and then wake up and realize its time to get moving and going back to work. There are so many instances of dreams and visions recorded throughout the Bible and the Book of Mormon, everything happens for a reason we just don't know why, but its God's work so it'll work out.
This week has been pretty crazy, we got a BUNCH of referrals this week and just have been crazy with trying to see people and try and help them progress in the gospel. One referral we got was a lady who had a 10% chance of surviving was given a priesthood blessing and survived! She is in a rehab facility where I am serving in and we have the opportunity to come by and see how she is doing. Its a super crazy story but the highlight of the day we met her was we were told she LOVES mandarine orange fruit cups and when we pulled it out of my shoulder bag she had the biggest smile on her face, it was amazing. And so many other cool stories but time is short when it comes to emailing it stinks... But its pretty awesome!!
I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing alright though, its gonna be crazy but as long as we have God and Jesus Christ as our foundation you can't be swept away. Its working for me so more than without a doubt it can help others. I noticed that even though my day is just full of schedules and work I'm not really depressed or sad, I just have strength that seems completely unworldly. It helps so much to have the gospel in our lives and when we share it with others they have that opportunity to grow. I love you so much Mom! And I actually forgot my camera BUT I did start actually taking photos, so next P-Day I will carry my shoulder bag with me so I don't forget my camera!! LOVE YOU LOTS!!
